Finora non ho avuto molte occasioni di seguire Ian Carey, anche se lui è uno di quei personaggi che meriterebbe di esistere anche per una sola canzone, "Keep on rising", che tutt'ora ascolto spesso con piacere ed è ormai ufficialmente entrata nella famosa "valigetta con i dischi da portare su un'isola deserta".

"Amnesia" è però differente, è molto più votata ad essere un successo commerciale ma riesce bene a non oltrepassare il limite e a mantenere comunque un ottimo grado di ascoltabilità anche al di fuori delle discoteche. Questo è dovuto anche alla presenza di Timbaland (ma che fine aveva fatto?) che rende il brano un po' più R&B (nonostante la minima partecipazione vocale da parte sua) assieme alla bella parte vocale di Rosette tutt'altro che scontata e che si sposa perfetta con le atmosfere simil-trance del disco.
Per il resto, assieme a questa canzone, me ne vengono in mente altre due che in questi mesi sto ascoltando e mi viene da associare, ricche di tastiere tutto sommato piacevoli, "Euphoria" di Loreen e "Young" di Tulisa, canzoni che seppur easy si lasciano ascoltare molto bene e ci stanno tenendo compagnia in questa estate.
