Australian singer-songwriter, actress and emerging artist Sophie Lowe has returned after the international impact achieved with recent singles like “Breathe” or “Pink Flowers”.
This time, she has teamed up with fresh Los Angeles-based production duo TWINKIDS on a brand new track called “Mean“. The song combines her signature vocals and with some crisp electronic sounds and the result is quite good. About the song, she shared:
It’s about loneliness and the realization that being surrounded by the wrong people and by people that don’t understand you can be the loneliest thing in the world. I used to not want to be on my own.. It used to scare me.. But now I know that I was just in the wrong situation and I am actually fine on my own.. I’m better in fact.. The song was written when I was at a cross roads in my life. I feel it’s something everyone goes through.”
“Mean” was released on digital retailers and streaming services on August 5th. The music video directed by Patrick Fileti and Sophie Lowe was premiered on September 14th.
