Following the impact achieved with “Cave In”, English newcomer synthpop and art project KYOTI is finally back with the awaited follow-up.
The new single is called “Curved Edge Straight Line” (What a titleª) and features an introspective blend of jazz and electronica alongside the intelligent lyrical influences of John Grant and the minimalism of SOHN and James Blake.
Exploring the theme of dependency on both substances and other people, as the band put it themselves:
‘Curved Edge, Straight Line’ is a song about searching for forgiveness from those close to you, while accepting your own faults
The track is another sublime production to add on your collection and it’s also confirmed as another taste of the project’s upcoming debut EP, due out sometime this year.
The music video starring Shené Gardner and directed by Daisy FInetto was premiered on Monday July 11th.
