E uscito il 10 Novembre 2009 “Circle” il nuovo album dei Bon Jovi che arriva a due anni da “Lost Highway”. Il nuovo album, prodotto da John Shanks insieme a Jon Bon Jovi e Richie Sambora, non ha ancora una tracklist ufficiale anche se circolano voci che dovrebbe essere composta da 12 tracce, le uniche canzoni i cui titoli sono confermati sono “We Weren’t Born To Follow”, “Work for the Working Man” e “When We Were Beautiful”.

"We Weren't Born to Follow" is the first single released in August 2009 from Bon Jovi's eleventh studio album, The Circle. The single premiered on radio on August 17, 2009. Jon Bon Jovi explained to the Daily Mail that this song is "about working people picking themselves up by their bootstraps in hard times."
